LeagueNewsThe HASA matches for Monday and Tuesday are cancelled. There is too much snow on the field to see the lines and not enough warm expected today to fix that.

The match between Bagel Company and the Saints will be rescheduled for Thursday, 5/29. The match between The Green Team and Blackfoot River Brewing will be rescheduled 5/28.

Stay tuned for notices on the Wednesday and Thursday matches.

Helena Adult Soccer Association Procedures and Rules – Spring Season 2008
on Monday, April 14 @ 11:11:21 CDT Posted by
LeagueNewsThe following rules and procedures for Helena Adult Soccer Association play were addopted by the board on 4/9/08 and govern all HASA play for the spring season.

Procedures

Each player must have a 2008 (bright green) validated player pass at the field to play.
Team captains will provide player passes and verify to referees that all team members have a current pass and are eligible to play.
Each player must have a valid player pass to be added to a team on-line roster.
Games will begin at 6:30 pm.  Teams that fail to field the minimum 7 players by 6:35 pm will forfeit the scheduled game.  A team may not forfeit a game to allow unregistered persons to play.
Games will consist of two 40-minute halves with a 10-minute half time interval.  Referees will shorten/increase game length and half time intervals due to daylight changes, as necessary, to maximize playing time and player safety.

Rules -- FIFA Laws of the Game published by USSF will govern all play unless otherwise listed below.

Players

Each team may have a maximum of 11 players on the field, a maximum of 7 per team of who may be male.
Each team member must wear a shirt the identifiable team color.  Other FIFA requirements regarding uniform clothing color and form will not be enforced.
Teams short of players may pickup guest players for a game.  Each guest player must hold a valid player pass. Only four guest players may be included per team per game. Guest players may continue to play after additional team members arrive for the game, if the captain wishes.

Play

Any slide is illegal which endangers another player.  Illegal slides are a cautionable offense, which may result in assessment of a foul and will result in an indirect free kick assessed against the offending team.  Slides may occur outside the proximity of other players.
A female player must take direct free kicks and indirect free kicks in the attacking half of the field.  This rule does not include penalty kicks.

Misconduct

Team captains are responsible for tracking misconduct of team players and enforcing suspensions.
Any player issued a yellow card will substitute from the playing field until the next substitution opportunity.
Any player issued 3 yellow cards during this season is suspended for the next scheduled game.
Any player issued a red card is suspended for the remainder of the game during which the red card is issued and for the next scheduled game.
Any player accumulating any combination of 5 cautions or dismissals or 3 red cards is suspended for the remainder of the season.

Physical assault will not be tolerated.  Any player who strikes or otherwise attacks a player or official is suspended for the remainder of the season.

Appeals

Players and teams may appeal sanctions to the Board of Directors of the Helena Adult Soccer Association.

2008 Spring Season
on Monday, March 31 @ 17:19:18 CDT Posted by president
LeagueNewsThe 2008 Spring HASA soccer season is scheduled to start on April 14, 2008 at 6:30 pm . Games will be held at the CR Anderson Middle School, Driscoll field at the southeast corner of Henderson and Euclid.

Players who are new to the Association or who did not play during the Fall 2007 season must register prior to playing.
The registration point is Play On Soccer, 812 A, N. Last Chance Gulch, 449-6964. There will be NO registration at the field.

The player fee is $25. The player fee must be in cash or a check made to HASA. Fees cannot be paid with a credit card. Players who played with HASA before do not need to get a new pass, but everyone needs to get a new/current (really ugly, bright green) sticker to play. (If you registered for Fall 2007, you are set to go!) New players must bring a driver's license-sized, recognizable head shot photo for the player pass.

Plan ahead, Play On Soccer is open Monday through Saturday 10-6. Diego Rivas, (Blackfoot River Brewing team player) the owner of Play On, has kindly agreed to stay open until 6:30 pm on 4/14, 4/15, 4/16 and 4/17 to allow our less organized players a chance to register, then play.

Players needing a team may call Mary at 449-2833.
